Dr. Cotofana has established himself as the world’s elite anatomist for facial enhancement procedures. His academic background includes a prestigious residency in Trauma Surgery after which he transitioned to anatomic basic science & research. Dr. Cotofana’s unparalleled expertise in the field is evidenced by his two professional academic Ph.D. degrees - in 2008, he received his first degree in Medical Science from Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany, and then obtained a second Ph.D. in Anatomy from Paracelsus Medical University in Salzburg, Austria in 2015.  

Dr. Cotofana began his career at Ross University School of Medicine as an Associate Professor of Anatomy and soon relocated to New York’s Albany Medical College in 2017. His passion for detailed anatomic research and prolific publishing in mainstream scientific journals was immediately recognized by the prestigious Mayo Clinic of Medicine and Science in Rochester Minnesota where he was recruited and presently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Anatomy.

Dr. Cotofana’s expertise in human anatomy, facial embryology and histology has garnered him numerous podium appearances as an international expert at major international conferences and meetings. The sold-out attendance at the many live dissections and workshops he has spearheaded across the globe lays testament not only to his knowledge but his reputation as the foremost educator in the field.
